We have some unique features which allow us to organize our group activities and communicate via the web more efficiently. You don't need to register to visit or browse our site, but you do need to be a member to see details of other member profiles or photo albums. What's Happening

The third annual Maker's Faire, sponsored by the Education Foundation of Martin County took place at the Pinewood Elementary School in Stuart on Tuesday, May 8th.  Martin County hams exhibited again this year.  Working with the kids was great, as always!  More Info

SKYWARN Spotter Training


Saturday, May 12th at 10:00 AM at the Martin County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) the National Weather Service will be conducting a FREE Basic-level training class for anyone interested in becoming a Skywarn weather observer. The class will be taught by NWS Warning Coordination Meteorologist (WCM) Scott Spratt KT4PD.

Coming up on Saturday, May 19th is the fifth in a monthly series of classes on Radio and Electronics.  Session #5 will allow us to further develop our soldering and radio skills by building an Anderson PowerPole patch cord, and a coaxial patch cord.  Sessions will include classroom instruction, and hands-on lab segments.  Reservations are not required, but space is limited.  More Info

           2018Stuart Hamfest

The 2018 edition of the Stuart Hamfest was held on Saturday, March 17th at the Martin County Fairgrounds.  We had an absolutely perfect Florida winter day, filled with good food and many Ham Radio friends.  Our very special guest this year, Bob Allison WB1GCM, from the ARRL Lab, led a forum on Software Defined Radios (SDR).

An Icom IC-7300, and many other prizes were given away at the event.  Visit to see if you are a prize winner.  If you missed the hamfest this year, next year's Stuart Hamfest is just around the corner!

Ham Radio License!

On Saturday, February 17th the first session in a four-week FREE Amateur Radio Licensing Class was held.  We still have a few seats available, however!  The Martin County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (MC-ARES) and Martin County Amateur Radio Association (MCARA) jointly sponsor these sessions which are designed to help you obtain the entry level Technician Class FCC License.  The next session will be held this Saturday, March 9th.

Classes will be held at the Martin County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), located at 800 SE Monterey Road in Stuart, beginning at  09:00 AM.  Registration starts at 08:30 AM.  The general public is welcome.  Reservations are not required!   More Details
