Stuart Radio Field Day Announced
2011 ARRL Field Day -
Field Day is the annual Amateur Radio exercise sponsored by the American Radio Relay League- please take a look at the main Field Day event page for the latest details.
June 25-26, 2011
On ARRL Field Day, tens of thousands of amateur radio operators gather for a public demonstration of our service. Field Day gives us a chance to hone our operator skills while showing the public and the press a little about what we do, while having a ton of fun.
Field day always falls each year on the fourth full weekend of June. Field Day is just around the bend (again). The location for the 2011 MCARA Field Day activity is Sandsprit Park in Stuart, FL. Here are a few photos of the 2010 ARRL Field Day. Please check the News area for the latest information on the site or Contact MCARA if you would like to participate.
The Field Day event is again a joint venture of our Martin County ARES and our MCARA club members. Our event will be held at the Sandsprit Park in Port Salerno. Lee, K4LJP will again provide his tower trailer for club use and we will be in the pavillion near the boat ramp. If you have an interest in Radio Electronics and would like to explore the hobby, come visit us. Our hobby is open to all people of any age, race, or creed and Morse code is no longer required to get your license (we can and do still use it though). We will also have a "Get on the Air" or GOTA station so any visitors or new hams may try out talking to people all over the world- without wires- and get first hand experience of what all the excitement is about! See you there!
