Stuart Radio Field Day Announced
ARRL Field Day 2010-
Field Day is the annual Amateur Radio exercise sponsored by the American Radio Relay League- please take a look at the main Field Day event page for the latest details.
June 26-27-28, 2010
On ARRL Field Day, tens of thousands of amateur radio operators gather for a public demonstration of our service. Field Day gives us a chance to hone our operator skills while showing the public and the press a little about what we do, while having a ton of fun.
Field day always falls each year on the fourth full weekend of June. Field Day is just around the bend (again). The location for the 2008 MCARA Field Day activity was Sandsprit Park in Stuart, FL. Here are a few photos of the 2008 Martin County Amateur Radio Association Field Day. Please check the News area for the latest information on the site or Contact MCARA if you would like to participate.
The Field Day event will be a joint venture between Martin County ARES and MCARA again for 2010. Our event will be held at the Sandsprit Park in Port Salerno. This year Lee, K4LJP will provide his tower trailer for club use and we will be in the pavillion near the boat ramp. If you have an interest in Radio Electronics and would like to explore the hobby, come visit us. Our hobby is open to all people of any age, race, or creed and Morse code is no longer required to get your license (we can and do still use it though). We will also have a "Get on the Air" or GOTA station so any visitors or new hams may try out talking to people all over the world- without wires- and get first hand experience of what all the excitement is about! See you there!
