We had a great showing for the August 2009 meeting. Lots of items on the swap table, Our president W4DAS, Doug announced the ARRL has officially voted on our South Florida Section convention status for the 2010 Stuart Hamfest.
Our next meeting in September is our annual ARRL meeting so please be sure to make it as there will be special deals for renewing your ARRL membership available only at the meeting.
Frank, N3QU announced he will give a presentation on NBEMS at the next ARES meeting.
Bill, N4BKT gave a presentation on how to build and operate a QRP station targeted towards all licensees and demonstrated some good Morse code practice software. Bill has uploaded a flash version of the PowerPoint presentation file to the MCARAweb.com site. All the resources are listed on the last slide. If anyone is interested in joining a class as proposed in the presentation, please use the contact form on the site to let us know. Anyone is free to use the presentation to promote the hobby. If you would like the source files, let us know.
