What is Ham Radio Today?
and that's the way it is...
This video, hosted by KB2GSD, describes much of what the Amateur Radio service is today. This is a good thing to watch if you're wondering what hams do for the public but is not all the hobby is about. That's what nice about the hobby; it is different things to each ham. Some enjoy collecting and restoring antique radios, some enjoy using CW and Morse Code (though this is no longer required for any Ham license), some hams use computers and radios together to form new ways of communicating that may not have been considered possible just a few years back. Have a look, it's an enjoyable and professional presentation of the Amateur Radio Service.
